This will mark the 4th year I've worked with the great people at the UCF Demolition Derby designing their ad campaign. It's been fun working with them each year through River Printing Company because I get to flex my design muscles and come up with crazy fun ideas for their campaign. I would have to say that the designs I've done for the Demolition Derby are some of my favorite. This year they asked for something colorful. We had designed a more subdued kind of old fashioned look last year and they wanted something that would stand out more. What is more colorful than comic books? I had a great time coming up with the comic page layout and creating the print halftone effect on the photos to make them look like a comic book drawing. Definitely my favorite of all the campaigns we've done for the fair.
